Every other day I take the boat out and check our crab pots. We usually have ten or fifteen crabs between the 4 pots, and after weeding through the smaller ones, we have a few to cook. It’s a time consuming chore, and each crab pot weighs 70 pounds. Today was a great day for crab, and we had close to 40 of them with most of them large enough to keep, but the real excitement was in our new shrimp pots.
We set the pots out yesterday with hopes of finding the shrimp, and luckily, one of our two pots did have a few shrimp in it. We only had two though, so they didn’t make it back to shore.
As you can tell by the picture, I was a little reluctant to eat it right there on the spot… but wow. They taste very, very good. Would have been better with a touch of wasabi and some soy sauce.
